During his travels, he saw bananas for the first time in Jamaica.The locals used to make this strange fruit banana.They also cooked and ate it like a vegetable And also like fruit.He ate bananas as long as he lived in Jamaica.When he returned to Boston, he brought a crate of banana and sold them at the local market.People liked this fruit and they started buying it in droves.Baker made a thousand percent profit. He quit his job and started a banana business.Only apples were popular in America at that time.
